The Public Health Resource Centre (PHRC) offers support to anyone in Leeds with a responsibility or professional interest in public health or promoting health and wellbeing.
We welcome users from a wide range of disciplines, including health, education, the local authority, social services, emergency services, prisons, and the voluntary, community and private sectors. However, we are not open to the general public.
The PHRC aims to provide the best possible information, resources and services, to help improve the health of people in Leeds and beyond.
Who we are

We provide support, information and resources to anyone working, studying or living in Leeds with a responsibility for promoting the health and wellbeing of public or patients.
What topics do we cover?
Our resources cover a variety of topics, such as:
- Alcohol
- Health inequalities
- Healthy eating
- Leadership and management skills
- Mental health
- Physical activity
- Sexual health
- Smoking
- Social marketing
Who can join?
We are open to all health promoters and professionals from a variety of disciplines including:
- Education
- Community, voluntary and faith sectors
- Health
- Leeds City Council
- Public and private sectors
- Social services
- Students

Once you are a member of the PHRC you will receive information via our mailing list regarding:
- Training events and seminars held in the PHRC
- New resources available to loan
- PHRC open days, where we showcase our resources
- Information on local and national campaigns
