HMIC

The Health Management Information Consortium database (HMIC) contains information relating to health management and services, social care, service development or NHS organisation and administration.

How do I use HMIC?

You can search HMIC by looking for keywords in the title/abstract of documents or searching by author name.

You can also search for information on a particular subject using the thesaurus.

Do I need a password?

Access to the HMIC requires an NHS OpenAthens Username and Password.

How do I access HMIC?

To access HMIC click on the HMIC link on the healthcare databases page of this website and then log in with your NHS OpenAthens username and password.

What information is available?

Coverage includes official publications, journal articles, books, pamphlets and grey literature on various topics including:
